Marriage License Information
There is a 3 Day waiting period for Florida residents.
Even though couples will get their license immediately, there will be a 3 day waiting period for the license to become valid. This means Florida residents cannot marry until 3 days after receiving their marriage license.
No waiting period for non-residents!
In order for couples to marry in the State of Florida, they need a marriage license. The cost of the license is $93.50.* Most of the fee goes to local charities.
Your marriage license can be attained at most courthouses in the state. You do not have to be married in the county that you get the license. Please check your local county for rules. There is a three day waiting period for Florida residents. This is waived for nonresidents.
